To remain competitive and to continue to grow, WJ has expanded to control the entire logistics chain from land to the end-user. We now provide agricultural inputs (sowing seeds, fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides, fuel and partial pre-financing) to carefully selected, trustworthy farmers. This allows us to ensure that the farmers deliver high quality products in acceptable quantities and within a reasonable time.

At WJ, we have great expertise and knowledge of transporting goods from local silos to ports and beyond. We work closely with local experts to handle railroad deliveries and to arrange material handling at ports.

WJ is proud to be developing agricultural specialty products in certain carefully selected areas of the CIS. For example, we have successfully developed production of pumpkin seeds in Cherkassy, Ukraine. This business now accounts for more than 3,000 tons of exports per year.

One of the newer endeavors of WJ is production of agricultural products. We accomplish this by leasing land on a long-term basis. Several farms have been formed in the Belgorod region of Russia, as well as in Ukraine and Moldova. For this purpose WJ has purchased highly efficient American machinery, such as tractors, combines and planters. We implement the newest agricultural technologies and use the best sowing seeds, pesticides, herbicides and fertilizer. WJ has been successfully expanding this area of the business since 1996.
